CD Manufacturing Facts

Glass Mastering is used on 1,000 or more and Pro Burn on smaller quantities.

"2 Panel" means one 4 3/4" X 4 3/4" piece of paper, printed 2 sides.

"4 Panel" means one 4 3/4" X 9 1/2" piece of paper, folded & printed 2 sides.

"4/1" means full color on the front of the insert, and black & white inside.

"4/4" means full color on the front of the insert, and full color inside.

Tray cards (4/0) are blank on one side when a black tray is used.

Tray cards (4/4) are used when the tray is clear.

Artwork should be submitted in .eps, .jpg or .tiff files.

Photos should be no less than 300 dpi.

Files generated in Corel Draw and Microsoft Publisher can involve additional costs.

All orders are subject to a 10% over/under run.

Barcodes are available for a one time set up fee of $35 per project.

Shipping and any required artwork are extra.

Shipping out of the USA is expensive since CD's (in bulk) are quite heavy.

This might make local services a better option.

Turn-Around Time

Turn-around time is based on business days and does not include weekends or holidays. Receipt of all source materials (including CD master, print materials, artwork files and down payment) at DWM before 2 pm is considered day zero. Standard turnaround time is 10 - 15 days after client approval and final payment. This does not include time in transit. Please note: Turn times are not guaranteed. They are based on our average production time and can vary. Projects that require film output/design or layout, special packaging, manual packaging, automated packaging or have had parts rejected including masters, label films, print material and artwork files, will result in increased turn-around time.

Terms & Conditions

A 50% down payment is required at the time of order placement, with the balance due upon proof approval and shipping. This should come in the form of a check, money order or international money order. Over or under runs of (as much as) 10% are possible, and will be figured in the final payment. Standard ground shipping is routinely quoted. If you need something faster, please let us know. Sales tax will be added in IA. The CD's provided by DWM are replicas of the customer-provided master. The customer should check the submitted master thoroughly.
