Most, if not all,
customers who receive a CD with a cracked jewel case feel a bit slighted.
Here at DWM, we go the extra mile and replace jewel case parts as needed.
Though we are eager to insure that the end user gets a pristine product,
it is nice to receive CD's that are intact. Here are a few tips that
might just make the transportation process a little safer for your music.
Within the USA,
a basic cardboard box with packing material should be
OK.
The least expensive way to send a quantity of CDs is by USPS Media Mail.
Putting more than one (maybe two) CD in a padded mailer can lead to
disaster.
If you are shipping to a country other than your own, cost becomes a
factor.
At DWM, we provide jewel cases for imports (as required). This
reduces your cost!
For
imports, we recommend that each CD be put
in a paper or plastic CD envelope.
You can also put the CD between the pages of a 4-panel (or larger) cover
insert. Then wrap all cover inserts together with Saran Wrap (or a similar
product). Plastic bags
work well too (as an overall covering). The important thing is to
insulate each CD and
keep the bundles secure. The tray cards should be wrapped separately
and
covered. A piece of cardboard, with the CDs, in a padded
mailer should be fine for
this purpose. This is just one idea; you might have a better one.
DigiPaks are OK, as is.
