Cowboy Buddha
Cement Pond
Drawing from a deep well of rock, pop, country, and folk influences, Cowboy Buddha makes music that is literary and timeless. This is a fully realized effort of natural and honest music chuck full of personality. It's rootsy, and Fletcher Harrington's lonesome sounding voice could be a first cousin to Son Volt's Jay Farrar. Guitars, bass and drums help define the imagination and pathos of Harrington's character-driven songs. He empathizes with the downtrodden, those folks who - in spite of their misfortune - possess the ability to persevere. The subject matter is fresh and interesting, but not too obscure. Fletcher is in love with the whole western thing, old movies and country music. "Cowboy Buddha…successfully fuses many diverse styles with an authentic and confident edge all too rare on the modern music scene." -Robert Kinsler. This album contains a wealth of music just waiting to be experienced.
