They’ve recorded two CDs with Gene Taylor on piano. The sounds of a vintage fat body guitar, a killer rhythm section and top-notch vocals and harp resonate with the feel of low down blues, some happy blues, wild Memphis-style boogie woogie and full-throated juke joint stomp. Fried Bourbon has nailed the sound of classic 1950s Chicago blues. Not only the music, but that sweet, analog, vintage sound of old tube amps and good microphones.
